La Casetta

La Casetta is a charming farmhouse in the surroundings of the Medieval village of Montaione with an overlooking position. The landscape is amazing: on the horizon line you can watch the sea sunset, the summit of Apuane mountains, the Chianti's hills and many other castles, olive trees, vineyards and hamlets.
The favourable location of La Casetta – among Florence, Siena and Pisa – makes it a perfect starting point to visit all Tuscany. Our staff knows perfectly about the territory, is very attentive and knows every reception rules, and it is ready to be at your own disposal.

The restoration

An accurate restoration brought back the building to its ancient beauty. The complex hosts nowadays seven apartments, all named after old times jobs and purposes. The apartments are tastefully furnished according to Tuscan old style and they are really comfortable.
They are embellished by rose gardens and herbs surrounding the paths leading to the shady car park, to the swimming pool area and its gazebos, to the children playground, and enter the wood along the vineyards and the olive trees.

The apartments

La Casetta has seven apartments and all are provided with ensuite bedrooms, traditional brick kitchen with stove, oven, dishwasher, living room with Florentine artisan furniture and coordinate soft furnishing, armchairs, telephone and satellite TV.
Each apartment has private entrance, terrace or patio with barbecue, chairs and tables under the arbor and loungers for your relaxing moments. Each apartment also has its own private gazebo by the pool with chairs and deckchairs exclusively for our guests.

Activities

We propose different accommodation possibilities to families, couples, groups of friends interested in wine and food tradition, wine and DOP products tasting, art and nature lovers, music and quietness chasers.
The uncontaminated environment is the perfect frame for open air activities like Tennis, horse riding, hiking and mountain biking.

Accomodation

We encourage our guests to explore on their own our estates, vineyards and woods. Tuscan countryside is full of magnificent landscapes and attracts resident and passing visitors with its slow pace according to weather, sun and seasons.

Tasting and products buying

We offer to our guests the opportunity to taste the products directly in our farmhouses (wine, Cinta Senese salami, and extra virgin olive oil) in a welcoming place enjoying the most charming Tuscan landscape. At our small shop you can both taste and buy our special products, or make arrangements for the shipping

Cooking Classes

We organize cooking classes on request for our guests. Why don't you take advantage of your relaxing moments to learn some Typical Tuscan recipes to surprise your family members once you are back home? Enjoy traditional cooking and amaze everybody with special homemade dishes.
